‘The United States and Russia are kind of natural strategic partners economically. I know we’ll always have our geopolitical issues, but fundamentally what America needs to run its economy is produced in Russia’ – Robert Agee.

On the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rick Sanchez catches up with Robert Agee, the president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia. So the topic of this episode is no surprise: Trade between Russia and America, and its perspectives. Agee reveals to Rick that the official US delegation to the forum headed by Rodney Cook was confirmed at the highest level in the White House. Sanchez says this is significant as no US president of late would do such a thing, and it could be a sign of warming relations between the two countries. Agee also thinks it is not clever to isolate Russia during the crisis in the Middle East, noting that the prices of minerals and fertilizers have skyrocketed.
